Join Dr. Fitzgerald for an important and informative presentation on advance care directives. She will explore the vital role these directives play in ensuring that patients' values and wishes are respected throughout their healthcare journey. The presentation will cover the different types of advance directives, how they function, and when they are used. Dr. Fitzgerald will also address common fears and misconceptions surrounding advance care planning, helping participants feel more informed, confident, and prepared to engage in these meaningful conversations. Dr. Hillary Fitzgerald is a palliative medicine trained physician who works at Olmsted Medical Center (OMC) in their Active Aging Services department.
She is passionate about helping patients and their families better understand their health conditions and care options and has experience in these conversations in both the hospital and clinic settings.
