Join us as Jeffrey Makinson performs Olivier Messiaen’s 1935 masterpiece, La Nativité du Seigneur — one of the most celebrated organ works ever written — on the magnificent Father Willis organ at Lincoln Cathedral.
Jeffrey Makinson, Assistant Director of Music and Organist at Lincoln Cathedral, is a highly respected performer and teacher. Alongside his work in Lincoln, he teaches for the Royal College of Organists Academy, directs the Beverley Chamber Choir, and is in demand across the UK as a recitalist, accompanist, conductor, and adjudicator.
During the concert, you’ll be able to watch the action in the organ loft live on a big screen — a fascinating glimpse into the artistry and skill behind this extraordinary music. After the performance, there’ll be a chance to meet Jeffrey in person and chat about the music.
