Oli Howe is a UK-based pianist, composer, and producer known for blending jazz, fusion, RnB, gospel, and hip-hop into a modern, high-energy sound. Located in Brighton, he has become a distinctive voice in the contemporary jazz scene through both his live performances and his online presence.Alongside his work as a recording artist and bandleader, Oli has released multiple projects including Moving Forward, Hackney Daze, and Six, with millions of streams worldwide and support from outlets such as Jazz FM, Worldwide FM, Jazzwise, and Spotify editorial playlists. His music focuses on feel, groove, improvisation, and harmonic exploration, often blurring the lines between genres.
Outside of his original projects, Oli is widely known for his viral Instagram reharmonisations and keyboard videos, where he reimagines popular songs with dense jazz harmony, improvisation, and a deadpan, self-aware humour that has resonated with musicians and audiences worldwide. His content has attracted a large following on social media and recognition from internationally respected artists such as Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz, Anderson Park, David Foster, Backstreet Boys, Teddy Riley, Montell Jordan, Lalah Hathaway, T-Pain, Michelle Williams, Questlove, Jill Scott, Adam Blackstone, JoJo, Cory Wong, Anomalie, Cory Henry, Nate Smith, Tye Tribbett, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Rick Beato, Amy Lee, Anastacia, Don Cheadle, Sean Lennon and many more.
In addition to performing and producing, Oli is active in music education, running workshops, masterclasses, and online courses focused on harmony, improvisation, and developing a more expressive approach to composing and arranging.
Oli will be bringing a mix of his dynamic arrangements of jazz standards as well as some of his original compositions to the Regis School of Music on the 15th May, alongside Rhys Lovell on double bass, and Pete Hill on drums.
