The Oleta River cleanup is an organized event aimed at removing trash and debris from the river and its surrounding areas. Volunteers meet at the Blue marlin fish house equipped with gloves, trash bags, and some tools for larger items (bring if you have please).Participants will kayak (free kayaks rentals will be provided to those who need) along the river, picking up litter that has accumulated along the banks and in the water. This event will be lively and community-oriented, with people of all ages (hopefully) joining in. Educational materials may be provided (still being made) to raise awareness about environmental issues and the importance of preserving local ecosystems.
At the end of the cleanup, volunteers will gather to celebrate their efforts, share stories, and enjoy refreshments, reinforcing a sense of camaraderie and commitment to protecting the Oleta River and its natural beauty.
