Old School Souls: Celebrating KC Car Club History. Lowrider Edition. presented by Wyandotte County Historical Museum. This is a Viejitos car club KC show case along with Lowriding 2 Success. we are putting together a show case of artifacts and nostalgia that has been preserved thru time by members of the lowrider community passed from generation to generation. Whom which have historic stories to tell about the origins, the roots, experiences of Lowriding back in the days in KC. We are talking about late 70s, 80s, and so on. We want to share the stories that have cultivated and paved the way for Lowriding and what it is today. We also want to celebrate the spirit of unity and family by inviting all car clubs to join in the show to compete for best represented car club, which includes being all uniformed up, canopies with logos, flags, items, etc. Anything that represents each individual car club and the unity they have. In which we will judge accordingly and have a trophy to the winner. We will also award deepest car club trophy so bring them numbers. Presidents can reach out to Rudy Perez of Viejitos car club so we can alot the appropriate spacing for each car clubs. We also welcome solo riders as we will have our usual car show awards as well. Stay tuned for more information. We will have food vendors and vendors many different sponsors. Will will have DJs spinning 45s outside and inside the venue with live entertainment. We got sick and twisted and chucho amongst others in the works for an amazing line up We are still working in this project by collecting and interviewing people who want to contribute their knowledge and artifacts in how the lowrider culture came to be in the city.
