Older Persons’ Care for GPs: Common Age-related Medical Conditions.

Neurological presentations make up over 4% of presentations in Australian general practice. General practitioners (GPs) play a key role in recognising, assessing and treating neurological conditions. They also play an important role in preventing possible neurological complications (eg stroke and neuropathies) while managing chronic diseases.

GPs participating in this education event will engage with neurological specialists to increase their skills in contemporary approaches to screening, imaging, and treatment of common neurological conditions. Escalation to specialists, effective pain management and red flags will also be covered.
