Why Older Adult Mental Health First Aid?
Older adults experience unique mental health challenges, including late-onset anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders—but these often go unrecognized and untreated.
âś… 1 in 4 older adults has a mental health condition.
âś… Men aged 75+ have a higher rate of death by suicide than any other age group.
âś… More than 1 million adults age 65+ experience substance use challenges.
This evidence-based training will equip you with the skills to support older adults experiencing mental health or substance use challenges and reduce stigma in this population.
