old soul / new soul : a parent artist's research is a full length contemporary dance performance examining the experience of being a parent artist. This work by Jessie Natusch Dance Works takes a look at the idealism and realities that collide as an artist makes space to be a caregiver and as a parent carves out moments to make art.

Through movement, live music, and poetry, this deeply personal work reflects on the beauty and complexity of balancing caregiving for our children and nurturing the artistic work that begs to be born.

Featuring live music and poetry by collaborator and fellow parent artist Marcus Amaker, old soul / new soul invites audiences into an honest and intimate exploration of the many selves we carry, the ones we leave behind, and the ones we are still becoming.
