Old School Throwdown Dj Coalition holds our Club Reunion once a year. It’s always a fun night of catching up with old friends and making new ones, dancing, great music and local Dj’s who were your friends and resident and guest Dj’s at clubs in Jackson from the late 80’s until now. Mark your calendars and make plans for February 1st 2025 from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am.
The night will start with Jayce Powell, Dj Trix at 8:00 pm. He will start the night off with some alternative, hip hop, and Miami Bass think Inez’s early night.
David Bates, DJ Haze will spin from 9pm-10pm where he will pick up where DJ Trix leaves him and probably head into some Electro, Freestyle and MiaBrian Casei Bass.
DJ Swanner, Scottand Sherra Swanner will pick up with an all vinyl set of breaks and more from 10pm-11pm
We are excited to have DJ Case, Brian Case spinning a set with us again next year. He spun at this years Throwdown and you would have never known he hadn’t been spinning in clubs this whole time. If you missed him at the last Throwdown, don’t this time!! Brian will spin from 11pm-12am
DJ Scotty Boi, Scott Hale will pick up where DJ Case has taken us and continue into the night spinning from 12am until 1:00am
Rob Saxton, Dj Robbio will spin his second Throwdown next year and finish the night out spinning from 1am-2am.

The shows are always a great reunion and we always have original Dj’s, the ones that you danced the night away to in the late 80’s, 90’s, 00’s and most are still spinning shows and festivals today. Here is a little history about the Old School Throwdown Dj Coalition and how it started.
In 2010, while Charles Faulk and Jayce Powell were attending their 20 year class reunion, Charles thought it would be more fun to head downtown and go visit with our friend and mentor, Allen Wright at the club, Jack N Jill’s where he was the resident dj at the time. While there we decided a club reunion would be more fun than a class reunion and the Old School Throwdown began. Charles and Jayce approached longtime friend, promoter and lover of music & dance, Edward Peter Cole II and the next year, 2011 the first Old School Throwdown took place. The first year the Dj’s spun only vinyl just as they did back in the day, this year several of of the Dj’s will carry on the tradition and still be spinning only vinyl.
The first year we had Charles Faulk, Scottand Swanner, Patrick Duvall, Robert Arender and Jayce Powell spin. These guys were resident dj’s at clubs in the 80’s, 90’s and on. If you remember Dj’s, Phases, Katmandoos, Inez’s, Club Rendezvous, Jackson’s Double Deuce, Midnight Sun, Catwalk, University Pub, and we could go on and on, then you will remember the dj’s! There has been a revolving list of who’s who of Dj’s from Jackson, New Orleans, Monroe and other states/cities as guest dj’s over the years.
Each dj will spin some great music from the 80’s, 90’s, 00’s to today. You will hear Alternative, Hip Hop, Miami bass, Electro, Freestyle, House, Techno, Breaks, Industrial and more.
The Old School Throwdown will be a fun night of celebration of djs, music and dance plus a great time to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. I hope everyone will join us this February 1st 2025 at Hal and Mal's-Jackson, MS for a fun filled night!!! The doors open and the music starts at 8:00 for any early birds and will continue until 2:00am. Hal and Mals has a great restaurant, so come early, eat and then be ready for the best club reunion in a long time 🤘
