Like the song says… Now baby that’s whoa! This is all we can say about January. What a way to start the year off. To date, the most packed OSS ever. We’d like to thank everyone who braved the holiday madness. Thanks to you, the OSS family, we’ll be around another year to bring you that Old School your soul needs.

We don’t have much time as adults. Life’s responsibilities have spoken for that. So, once a month why not shed the reserved, mature, responsible parent or maybe grandparent we’re forced to be because of age and become the out-of-control young person you were?

Most of us have a DJ friend so some of us understand the DJ thing. What you may not know is that the OSS DJs didn’t just learn to DJ. They lived it, they lived the era or that moment in time. They can tell you where they were or how they felt when Shook Ones dropped or where they heard OC’s Times Up for the first time. They are not just playing records. They are playing music that shaped their lives also. And this is why OSS is personal for them. If you are not familiar, let me introduce to you DJ’s Ferg Fresh, Ghostrider, Element, our 1st Lady, Tamera James and the man with the mic… D1 the MC. For all of us, it’s more than just a job, it’s a passion.

If you haven’t been to OSS yet, just know, we’ve been around for few years, and we plan to be around for quite a few more. Speaking to those who haven’t been there yet, it’s a vibe, there’s a lot of love in the air and you can free yourself from life’s matrix. At least for a few hours. How do the experts do it?

1. If you are serious about coming to OSS, get your presale tickets now. They will cost more later.

2. Bottle service comes with tables. Reach out us directly if you want a table and reserve yours now! They sell out weeks in advance.

3. If you don’t a have a table and need a seat, go upstairs. Those tables are 1st come; 1st serve.

4. Is the bar downstairs crowded? Go upstairs. That bar is usually less packed than downstairs.

5. Ladies there’s nothing better than a pair of heels on a woman but for OSS, you better wear a cute pair of sneakers. You’re going to be glad you took this advice from us later.
