The people of St. Paul and First Church of Christ Old Saybrook would like to invite your children to our 2026 Camp Firelight Vacation Bible School. The program’s theme is geared to provide an interactive, energizing, Bible-based good time as they go on a “camping adventure” with Bible stories, crafts, games,
music, and snacks — every day will be packed
with fun and learning!
During each assembly session, Campers join first-time camp counselor Sam and Lu (short for Lumen), the lightning bug puppet, and learn to face their fears while trusting in God. Each day, Campers see Counselor Sam face new challenges, from as simple as leading Campers on a hike to meeting a new and wise nature expert. With the help of Lu the Lightning Bug and the Camp Counselor Guidebook, Counselor Sam and our Campers explore timeless Bible stories that show how Old and New Testament Campers trusted God in the face of their own fears and went on to do great things in God’s name.
The kids will expand on what they’ve discovered by
making their own art projects at the Craft Station,
singing new songs at the Music Station,
exploring the wonders of God’s creation at the Science Station,
playing games at the Recreation Station,
and enjoying tasty treats at the Snack Station.
This will be a fun time for every one as the children discover how God is with us everywhere we go!
July 6-10 9:00 - 12:00
For all children and grandchildren entering 1st-4th grade
Registration $15 (scholarships available just mark it on your registration form)
