On August 19, 2026 a severe microburst and thunderstorm hit northeastern Kansas City Kansas. The National Weather Service reported hurricane-force straight line and downburst winds reaching 70 to 80 mph. As a result large trees were uprooted and damage to roof and power lines occurred. Please help us clean up and try to protect the Old Quindaro Museum also known as the John Walker House. We are in the beginning stages of renovation; however, we need to preserve the house as much as possible and protect it from and further water damage while we finalize our plans. Community is everything. We are asking for neighbors to come and donate however long you can to helping us with this special project before the winter comes. Preserve our history! Sign up to volunteer on our website.
