Old Fall River Road - June Full Moon Ride
Advertisement
We'll meet at 6:30pm and be rolling by 6:40pm. This is a 30-mile loop climbing up Old Fall River Road and descending Trail Ridge Road. The loop is 9 miles of gravel and 21 miles of pavement, with an elevation gain of 4200' and a high point of 12,200' above sea level. This usually takes between 2.5 and 3.5 hours to complete.
Bring lights for the descent (headlight to see wildlife and the road ahead, and rear flasher to alert cars to your presence) and bring warm clothes because it gets cold at night at 12,000', especially when riding your bike downhill at 45mph.
** Rain date will be Saturday, June 27. Same time and same place. **
