Established in 1806 and listed on the National Register of Historical Places, the Old City Cemetery is Virginia’s oldest municipal cemetery still in use. The grounds are comprised of a 27-acre public garden that is home to at least 16 Revolutionary War Patriots, as well as hundreds of early founders of the City of Lynchburg.
The Arboretum is classified as a Level II, with the largest collection of antique roses in Virginia.
We will also tour of Point of Honor, a federal-style plantation home in Lynchburg where we will enjoy a docent-led tour of the home and its period furnishings.
Between our tours, we will lunch at Truss Restaurant - a family-owned restaurant serving chef-curated New American cuisine in a warm, upscale-casual setting.
PRICE PER PERSON: $49.00. The full amount is due when the reservation is made. Lunch is at your own expense.
PRICE INCLUDES: Tour tickets for the Cemetery, Arboretum and Point Honor Estate, roundtrip parks and recreation transit van transportation, and a tour host. Lunch is at your own expense.
