Okujou Beat is a project for cosmic musical explorations – drifting between groove, trip hop, world music, kraut and ever-evolving electronic landscapes.
It was born from the close collaboration of Chikara Aoshima and Izumi Yamamoto, together with Johannes Heger, Moussa Coulibaly and Ulf Lundberg.
Together they generate a flow of hypnotic grooves, open improvisation and cosmic resonance – music that doesn’t explain itself, but carries you forward.
This concert will be special, as Chikara Aoshima will be moving to Japan in September, making this one of the last Okujou Beat events in Berlin for the foreseeable time.
And when the last echo still lingers, STEREOCITI takes over the decks and guides the night further – deeper into dance.
He has released numerous records on MOJUBA in the realm of ecstatic jazzy minimal house and will deliver a very special set that continues and expands on this signature sound. His vinyl sets focus on atmosphere, subtle progression, and immersive groove, creating a continuous pull on the dancefloor and a strong sense of sonic depth.
