We know we're all abuzz with North Aurora Days this weekend, but we've got something else brewing in the background... Oktoberfest! 🍻🥨
For those unfamiliar, Oktoberfest is a traditional German autumn festival taking place from late September into early October and features beer drinking, traditional food, activities and polka music! The Village hosted our first one last year and we absolutely had to bring it back!
We'll be rolling out details as we get closer (you can find everything though updated on our website, www.northaurora.org/community/oktoberfest) , but mark your calendars for Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 12 pm - 10 pm at North Aurora Riverfront Park (25 East State Street).
The event is FREE to attend. However, anyone wishing to drink will need to purchase a Village of North Aurora beer stein and drink tokens, which will be available at the event. Discounted pre-event drink packages are currently available on the Village website through September 23. We're offering 1 stein + 2 drink tokens for $22 or 2 steins + 4 drink tokens for $42! And get this; if you attended last year and haven't lost your North Aurora Oktoberfest stein... BRING IT BACK! You're welcome to use it at the event and will only need to purchase drink tokens on site! 🥳🍻
Our Oktoberfest event will feature beer from four breweries -- raise a stein to Penrose Brewing, Riggs Beer Company, Obscurity Brewing & Craft Mead, and Crystal Lake Brewing -- Oktoberfest themed food offerings (we promise, WAY more food options this year), live music featuring multiple polka bands, Oktoberfest and fall-themed contests and activities (including stein holding, dachshund racing, pretzel scavenger hunt and pumpkin painting!) and a great community! We'll say Prost! to that!
