October 6, 2024We’re bringing back some of the cool stuff that drifted away over the years (remember those shows in Rev Hall? Stay tuned—details dropping very soon, like in the next couple of weeks). Even if you missed out on Brown’s Oktoberfests of the past, this year’s edition is a nod to those legendary days—only better, fresher, and with a whole lot more going on.
Here’s what we’ve got cooking:
We’re pitching a huge circus-sized tent in the parking lot behind our 417 River Street brewery taproom, right on the mighty Hudson River.
Two bars, two Oktoberfest brews:
We’re pouring both Märzen and, for the first time ever, Festbier. It’s the ultimate doubleheader.
Chef Nigel’s got something special up his sleeve—a killer menu that’ll take your taste buds on a ride.
Two bands to keep the energy flowing:
Brother Junction will kick things off, and then Mark Gamsjager & The Lustre Kings will get the crowd swinging.
And of course, we’ve got a lineup of epic games that’ll test your skills and your stomach:
Stein Hoisting (Masskrugstemmen)—Lift that liter stein like a champ. Multiple rounds, multiple chances to win.
Stein Racing (Beer Run or Bierlauf)—Ever run through an obstacle course carrying two liters of beer without spilling a drop? Now’s your chance.
Barrel Rolling Race (Fassrollen)—You and a teammate rolling a barrel faster and straighter than your competition? It’s harder than it looks, and way more fun.
