Celebrate Black History Month with OETA as we present Black Frontier Towns, a Heartland Emmy Award-winning series produced by OETA's Oklahoma News Report team. This acclaimed documentary highlights the history of Oklahoma’s 13 historically Black townships still in existence today—communities founded by Black pioneers seeking self-sufficiency and prosperity in the face of adversity.
🎬 The screening will be followed by a special panel discussion, featuring historians and experts who will provide deeper insights into these towns’ historical and cultural significance. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage, learn, and honor the legacy of Black pioneers in Oklahoma.
