The National Center and the OU Center for Adoption and Family Well-Being invite individuals to an in-person gathering for those with lived experience as an alumni of the foster care system, young adult adoptee, birth parent, foster parent, adoptive parent, or kinship caregiver. The OU Center will continue leading the Council to ensure lasting care and connection beyond this engagement. This event will provide the opportunity to raise the voice of lived experience
• Learn how adoption competent care helps families heal and grow • Highlight innovative initiatives based in Oklahoma
• Explore how lived experience can inform policy, practice, and support systems
• Express interest in joining the Council or supporting its work through future Oklahoma projects
A complimentary dinner will be served to all attendees, followed by a special Thank You in recognition and appreciation of attendees’ meaningful contributions.
