OKC - OBSCPM 19th Annual Youth Awareness Program (Please SHARE & REPOST)
Schedule
Sat, 06 Sep, 2025 at 12:00 pm
UTC-05:00Location
Fairview Missionary Baptist Church of OKC | Oklahoma City, OK
Our Youth today are faced with all types of pressures from peers, sex, drugs, schools, family members, relationships, gangs, etc.? It is our goal to help our youth understand the importance of making wise choices and the consequences of making bad choices. We are seeking donations to help with this event. We are asking each church to donate $25 or more if possible. All donations will be appreciated.
Youth must understand that the choices they make may affect them now and/or later in life. A felony conviction lasts a lifetime. This program is for adults, youth, and children. We encourage parents and family participation. Parents need to sometimes hear the patterns that youth exhibit when making negative choices to help redirect them. We would truly appreciate your presence. We will also have a community choir in which all youth are welcome to participate. If you have youth who you would like to sing in this choir please email me for rehearsal information.
Keynote Speaker: Chaplain Christopher Hendrix - Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau. Other speakers include those who are in state custody, those who have been incarcerated, those who have been in gangs, etc. Speakers will share their life experiences to help prevent others from making the same mistakes.
The Youth Awareness Program entitled “Choices” will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025.
