About this Event
The Okanogan Family Faire is a non-profit organization registered in the state of Washington, Okanogan County. The purpose of this charitable corporation is to provide community events which support public education on a broad range of traditional, rural, economic, and spiritual values that reflect respect for the diversity of all people, wildlife, and the earth.
In 1973, the Barter Faire was created to help a community connect and barter surplus harvest and goods for other goods needed for winter. Through the years, the Okanogan Family Faire (OFF) has become an annual event attracting vendors, musicians, artists and crafts people from communities, near and far.
Spring Barter Faire: This is a large, multi-faceted festival incorporating aspects of organic farming, wildcrafting, primitive skills, natural medicine, herbalism, holistic education, raising/saving seed, music, seasonal local cuisine, etc. A wide diversity of alternatives to the status quo. Workshops and lots of booths doing outreach and vending products. A farmers market, craft fair, music festival and barter fair all rolled into one.
As a nonprofit, proceeds from the Faire go right back into the region through donations, grants, and scholarships that support local organizations, arts, and education.
Come camp, trade, learn, and reconnect.
