Featuring seventeen decorated Christmas trees on display and up for raffle when the Oregon Jerusalem Historical Society (OJHS) hosts its 5th Annual Community Christmas, presented by Toledo Refining Company, on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brandville Museum Complex, 1133 Grasser St. Thanks to Toledo Refining Company, admission is free, and the raffle drawing is at 3 p.m.
The day offers something for the whole family. Children can visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, stop by the kids craft areas and meet the Grinch at Whoville Village. Families will also find photo opportunities, a gift shop and a bake sale. The Brandville museum showcases historical artifacts, period tools and fashion, and stories of Oregon's first families. OJHS thanks presenting sponsor Toledo Refining Company for helping make this free community celebration possible.
The Parade of Trees raffle is OJHS’ top fundraiser, supporting its collection, buildings and community programs. Each tree in this curated collection has its own theme. Highlights include a pink candy-shop tree topped with an ice cream cone, a nutcracker tree crowned with a red soldier's hat, a Grinch-green peppermint tree and a Wicked themed pink and green tree. Others feature patriotic red, white and blue, burgundy and gold, frosty blue and white, and deep purple.
Raffle tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. Tickets can be purchased in advance at ojhs.org.
