As Israel wages genocide against the Palestinians why do the US and European states continue to fund the destructive force of the Israeli occupation of Palestine and why is the response from surrounding Arab states so muted?

The extraction and export of oil and gas are fundamental to understanding the geopolitics of the Middle East and this has implications for global climate change.

Winning a just and sustainable future requires addressing the way that colonialism and imperialism destroy the environment of the Global South in the hunt for resources, and the impact this has on people in the region. Climate justice cannot happen without dealing with this ongoing process.

Anne Alexander – Author of ‘Revolution is the Choice of the People’ – Crisis and Revolt in the Middle East and North Africa

Dr Mohammed Ghalayini (TBC) - Environmental scientist, recently returned from Gaza. Will speak about the environmental, social and emotional impacts of the war on Gaza.
