Discover how to combine collage and oil painting to create a truly original work of art! Join teaching artist Jaqueline Moore as you develop your own theme and mood, starting with a foundation of collage and finishing with a top layer of oil paint. Students will explore composition, and the fundamentals of oil painting while creating pieces that can be abstract, representational, or a blend of both.This six-part course will be taught on six consecutive Saturdays: May 16, May 23, May 30, June 6, June 13, and June 20, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This class is for ages 16 and over. The cost of the six-part course is $200 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided. Preregistration is required and space is limited. The course will be held inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center located at 123 N 10th St., Santa Paula, CA. Free parking is available directly behind the building and students may enter through the front or back door.
