Oiche Shamhna/Samhain HALLOWE'EN Junior event for under 14 years

"Did you know that Ireland is the birthplace of Halloween? It originated over 2000 years ago in the Celtic festival of Samhain which marked the end of the harvest and was celebrated on 1 November the first day of the Celtic "New Year". It was believed by the ancient Celts that on the last night of the year 31 October or "All Hallow's Eve the veil between this world and the next is thin allowing spirits to pass between the worlds...."
