Official Pokémon Pitch Black Prerelease at Round Table Games

This is a prerelease event for in store play on July 4, 5, 11 and 12.

Limit 1 kit per person per day, in-store play only. No take-home kits will be available until 7/13, if we have any left (none may be reserved until after the event on 7/12)

As space is limited we will not be able to offer refunds, so please make sure you can play before purchasing.

In-store play

Deck Construction: Players will receive a Build and Battle box from the Tournament Organizer at the beginning of the event. This box contains Inside you will find: a 40-card ready-to-play deck including 1 of 4 unique foil promo cards, 4 Pokémon TCG: Pitch Black booster packs, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.. Each player will then construct a 40-card deck using only the cards in that box and basic Energy cards. Basic Energy cards will be provided by the venue.

Format: Players will have 30 minutes to construct their deck. They will then play 3 single-game swiss rounds using 4 prize cards.

What is it ?

Pokémon Prerelease.

In the Prerelease format, players compete using a 40-card deck with four Prize cards set aside at the start of play, as opposed to a 60-card deck with six Prize cards. Prerelease is perfect for introducing new Trainers to the exciting world of the Pokémon TCG with quick, fun games, and it gives seasoned Trainers a window into everything Mega Evolution—Pitch Black has to offer. Due to the limited card pool and the variance of cards that can be acquired in a Build & Battle Box, Prerelease events are a great opportunity to flex your creative deck-building muscles.

Each Build & Battle Box includes four Mega Evolution—Pitch Black booster packs and a 40-card, ready-to-play deck featuring key cards from current and prior expansions, as well as one of four unique foil promo cards. Depending on which promo card you get, you could be playing with the always-electric Miraidon, carefree Slowbro, sneaky Dhelmise, or bulwark Bastiodon.
