Join us as we open the fifth edition of Brazil Week with an evening celebrating five years of strengthening the relationship between Australia and Brazil.
This year’s Opening Cocktail Reception returns to the Ithaca Auditorium at Brisbane City Hall, where Brazil Week was officially launched in 2022. Since then, Brazil Week has evolved into a national platform connecting business, government, academia and the broader community across Australia, fostering stronger ties between Australia and Brazil through a diverse program of business, cultural and diplomatic events.
Over the past five years, Brazil Week has welcomed distinguished guests including the Governor of Queensland, Brazilian Ambassadors, senior diplomats, members of the Consular Corps, federal, state and local government representatives, business leaders, industry partners and community organisations. The inaugural celebration also featured renowned Brazilian actor Nelson Freitas, reflecting the spirit of friendship, culture and collaboration that has defined Brazil Week from the beginning.
Returning to where it all started provides an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, celebrate where we are today, and look ahead to the next chapter. As Australia and Brazil deepen their partnership across trade, investment, innovation, education, energy and culture, this evening sets the tone for Brazil Week 2026.
