Intimacy is a deep knowing that we arrive at through observation, shared experience, recognition, understanding and acceptance. We offer and experience intimacy throughout our lives in many ways. We might recognize intimacy in a familiar comfortable place, through the building of mutual trust, a sharing of ideas or experiences, a moment when it is safe to be vulnerable and express ourselves with abandon. Intimacy may arise as a spiritual experience. Intimacy might occur with or in the absence of physical closeness, with or in the absence of a sexual exchange. We might build intimacy with ourselves through acts of self-compassion and self-care. In what ways have you offered and experienced intimacy?
Come share your wisdom about intimacy for the final gathering of the 2024 Taboo Talks series at Resilient Women on December 22nd from 1-2:30pm. Our objective is to offer a relaxed, candid, non-judgmental space to explore our thoughts in the company of other women. The Taboo Talks are free and open to all women. Light refreshments are offered. Donations are welcome to help cover costs. Please RSVP by December 20th.
