Welcome to Off The Page, a warm and inviting space where words come to life and stories find their voice. Held at the award-winning Afrori Books, the evening is perfectly set against a backdrop of incredible works by renowned authors, creating an inspiring atmosphere for all.

Whether you're a budding writer or an experienced wordsmith, this is your opportunity to share something from your catalogue or perhaps a piece you’re still crafting.

Join us for an evening where we transport our audience to other worlds, each tale unfolding with beauty and imagination. There’s a unique joy in hearing stories aloud, as the words resonate through the room, creating a shared experience that connects us all. It’s a night of shared stories, where the power of writing takes centre stage, and every voice is celebrated.

Off The Page is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices — creating a space for stories, perspectives, and people that are too often overlooked. While our stage is open to everyone, we prioritise offering opportunities to marginalised writers.

As we often receive a high number of submissions, if we’re unable to offer you a slot this time, you’ll be given priority for our next event.
