I am creating a performance event as an alternative celebration of our 250th anniversary as a country. It will be a movement choir - a form of community performance where a group of people create and perform movement, focusing on the inspirational experience of moving together. I am joined in this effort by a terrific team of community organizers and friends. The movement choir will be performed at Five Points Art Center in Torrington, CT on July 5 in the afternoon. In addition to the movement choir, there will be food, music, and an interactive, participatory art-making tent on the grounds.
