In our second concert for the year, the DSO will be conducted by violist William Newbery.
The concert will start with the March from Edvard Grieg’s Sigurd Jorsalfar (Op. 56) and will be followed by the Concerto for Violin and Cello in A minor by Johannes Brahms (Op. 102). This double concerto will have two soloists, Phoebe Masel (tutti violinist from the TSO) and Nick McManus (tutti cellist from the TSO).
After the interval, the concert then will conclude with the second suite from Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev (Op. 64).
The concert will begin at 2:30pm on Sunday the 21st of June in the Sir Stanley Burbury Theatre on the Sandy Bay Campus of UTas.
