Wanting to take your scentwork knowledge to the next level? Learn all about odour dynamics and how to apply this knowledge to a search.
This in depth practical workshop will dive deep into how odour moves in the environment, how this affects your search strategy, and we will be testing these theories on the day with live searches. We will look at the different characteristics of scent plumes and how weather, terrain, and vegetation structure influences your success within a search.
All levels from beginner to advanced are welcomed. Expect a lot of learning and searching throughout the day!
Location- Dartmoor with woodland, moorland, and rivers. Toilets on site.

What is odour dynamics?
The turbulent flow of air and water can cause complex fluctuations in odour concentration that depend on the distance and direction of the odour source. These fluctuations can be perceived by animals like dogs and used to guide their behaviour.
