Mount Hebron Cemetery and Gatehouse | Winchester, VA
Join us in October for a walk through historic downtown, starting and ending at the world-famous Mt. Hebron Cemetery. We'll chat with the cemetery's superintendent and hear tales from Winchester's most prominent local historian, as we get to know several other incredible featured guests and their local work. As we walk, we'll pass by some of Winchester's historic homes, buildings, and landmarks many of which might contain some spooky voices from the past.
Featured Guests:
Mike Robinson: Author, Winchester Tales Book Series & Facebook Page
Jim Coots: Superintendent, Mt. Hebron Cemetery
Drew Savage: Chief, Winc Fire & Rescue
Robyn Miller: WATTS, Executive Director
Holly Redding: Winchester Brew Works, Owner + Friends of Old Town Board Member
Andy Gail: United Way NSV, President & CEO
While this walk is NOT a ghost tour, we will be passing by about 15 allegedly haunted spots. It is, after all, SPOOKY SEASON! And Winchester continues to be rich with voices and spirits from the past!

What's a TalkWALK?
This brand new casual walk series will be held in a different Winchester neighborhood each month and will feature a variety of special guests including longtime residents, city employees, elected officials, community leaders, local historians, naturalists, experts, and enthusiasts.
Each month we'll meet up in a different neighborhood and walk with an invited guest, who will be available to chat and share insights as we explore.
Walks will be 2-3 miles, starting and ending at a park or school, with a midpoint return option for those who prefer a shorter route.
Let’s explore Winchester, learn something new, exchange ideas, enjoy good company, and get fresh air together.
Come walk with us!
