October afternoons at the farmers’ market are pretty special, and this year, we’re adding even more fun for families!
Join us every Wednesday in October for Market Discovery Days, four weeks of FREE after-school fall fun at High Rock Park. Each Wednesday brings something different, with hands-on activities, seasonal tastes, special community guests, and plenty for kids to do while families shop the fall harvest.
October 7 – Apples & Autumn Art
Sample local apples, enjoy a children’s activity with Find Me in Saratoga author Patrice Mastrianni, and get creative with CREATE Community Studios.
October 14 – Bees & Fall Fun
Meet the Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association, make a fall crown, and spend some time at the Play Patch.
October 21 – Apples & Gratitude
We’re celebrating our farmers! Kids can make thank-you cards, join CREATE Community Studios for a hands-on activity, and help make applesauce with local apples.
October 28 – Creatures & Fall Crafts
We’ll wrap up the month with the Southern Adirondack Beekeepers Association, a children’s craft with the Saratoga Springs Public Library, and some wonderfully silly gourd creatures.
And, of course, the farmers’ market will be happening right alongside it all, filled with the October harvest, local food, and all your Wednesday market favorites.
Come after school, bring the kids, grab something good for dinner, and spend a fall afternoon at the market with us!
