This series focuses on the signature moves of Lindy Hop – the swing out and circle with your teachers, Luc and Olya!
We’ll get comfortable with 8 count footwork and learn the connection and momentum that make swing outs exhilarating. Whether you’ve worked on swing outs before or they’re brand new for you, this class will help you hone your skills. We highly recommend dancers take this class several times to build a strong lindy hop foundation. Or if you’ve been dancing for years, this a great opportunity for a tune up!
Prerequisite: 2-5 months of beginning swing, or instructor approval. You should be comfortable with the triple step, the basics of swing partner connection, and common moves like an underarm pass or tuck turn. Unsure you’re ready? Your class fee includes free admission to our Practice Dance that starts at 8pm right after class! Let’s practice those new moves!
Class run from 7pm-8pm, every Tuesday
This is a series class. Please plan to come the whole month!
Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure time for parking and shoe changing.
Please bring clean shoes that won’t track in grit or leave black heel marks.
Parking is limited; plan to park on nearby streets and walk to the North Star Hall at 20 Crowley Street.
