October Community Meeting with "Ask a Muslim" Discussion

We are all seeing a lot of misinformation and disinformation about Islam on social media and in election campaign materials. In a time when we should be coming together as a community, we are seeing efforts to further divide us. At our October 26 community meeting, we are honored to have a panel discussion and Q&A with several Muslim women who will provide a brief Islam 101 presentation followed by a frank discussion of myths about Islam. We will also have an "Ask a Muslim" Q&A for community members to become further educated about Islam and how Muslims practice their faith. This session will prepare us all to be allies to the Muslim community by providing us with tips and tricks for answering questions about Islam in an appropriate way.
Social from 6:30 pm to 7:00pm. Discussion will start at 7:00pm.
