October Catalytic Converter Theft Prevention Event

Protect your vehicle from catalytic converter theft with this FREE VIN etching event!

BSO Cooper City deputies will etch your vehicle’s VIN onto your catalytic converter and apply high-temperature fluorescent paint marked “BSO Cooper City.” This permanent identification helps deter theft and assists law enforcement in identifying stolen property.

Appointment Information

• ⏱️ Appointments are approximately 10 minutes.
• 🕗 Appointments begin at 8:00 a.m.
• 🚗 Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
• 📅 Appointments are required.

Eligibility

This free service is available to:

• Cooper City residents
• Cooper City business owners

What to Bring

• Vehicle registration or proof of ownership
• Valid photo ID

Please Note

• BSO personnel will briefly drive your vehicle onto a service ramp to access the catalytic converter.
• Participants must sign a liability waiver before the service begins.
