BARK (Bismarck Animals Reading with Kids) is for kids who want practice reading with non-judgmental listeners—dogs! The Library offers this special program with local therapy dogs and their handlers. Independent readers in grades K-5 sign up to read aloud to a dog for 20 minutes (handler present).

Each event date has designated reading times that must be reserved in advance (children can sign up for two reading times).
