About this Event
📌IMPORTANT NOTE: DUE TO THE WEATHER CONDITIONS, DATE HAS CHANGED TO OCTOBER 23,2024📌
Join us for an open discussion on the future of Miami and how we can help our city navigate the crisis of rising sea levels. Share your thoughts, ideas, and solutions as we explore ways to protect and preserve our community.
The issue of rising sea levels in Miami is no longer just a topic of conversation; it has become a pressing concern for residents. Projections indicate that by 2050, the water level could rise by 47 inches, submerging areas like South Miami Beach, Sunny Isles, and Fort Lauderdale. Currently, there are no clear solutions to this looming crisis. Therefore we like to bring a discussion to Florida Climate week.
We are excited to introduce an innovative format for interactive discussions called Equal Table*. This event offers all attendees the chance to engage in open conversations, sharing thoughts, opinions, and potential solutions. The discussion will be moderated by Alexander Suma, the founder & CEO of Nexuma, who also serves as a special advisor on several boards in sustainable and renewable energy companies. Alexander has an impressive background, including roles as a renewable energy technology & investment advisor at Neo Energy Storage, founder & CEO at IBIS Power, founder of Vivera Products, founder at UINI, and managing director at Smart Energy Buildings & Cities (SEBC).
We’re thrilled to be part of Florida Climate Week! Nexuma, in collaboration with Moonlighter FabLab and ClimateLaunchpad, has organized this exciting event. Learn more about our efforts and partners below.)
