Join us for the Washington County Genealogical Society meeting on October 5th at 1 p.m. at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library in Brenham.
Our featured speaker will be Blake Pfeffer, whose lifelong passion for Texas history began in his early teens, inspired by his father. Today, Blake’s personal library includes more than 2,300 books on Texas history, including rare original editions dating back to the early 1830s. His collection provided valuable primary-source material for his recently published book, Shouts from the Republic.
Blake has shared his knowledge at the Texas State Historical Association’s Annual Meeting, the Texas State Capitol, museums, monuments, and civic and historical organizations throughout Texas. He brings the past to life through stories that remind us of the cost, value, and responsibility of preserving freedom.
Come hear Blake share his insights into Texas history, heritage, and the importance of keeping the past relevant for future generations.
