Octavia's Pasadena Bike Ride

Grab your helmet and join us for a fun group biking adventure through the streets of North Pasadena! This journey is inspired by the life and groundbreaking work of Altadena and Pasadena's visionary icon, Octavia E. Butler. Come celebrate this literary legend.

Octavia's Pasadena Bike Ride will feature:

• Stops include John Muir High School, La Pintersca Public Library and Octavia E. Butler Magnet School
• Pop-up performances and history lessons about her life at each stop! Including singing, poetry, music!
• A 5 mile route, fun for the whole family, all skill levels welcome
• Supported by Pasadena Councilman Tyron Hampton, Active SGV, Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition and more
• Don't have a bike? You can rent one on-site!
• The bike ride starts and ends at Around the Cycle, 1270 Lincoln Avenue
