This workshop consists of gentle movement, conscious breath, intention setting, and a guided deep relaxation practice of Yoga Nidra. Each student will also receive a mini energy healing session to help balance the system.
All levels are welcome and no experience with yoga is necessary! This is not a class about flexibility. You don't need to stretch like Gumby, I promise! There are no contraindications and modifications will be given and encouraged to fit your needs! Everyone can benefit and is welcome.
The practice of Yoga Nidra is a Conscious Deep Relaxation, also known as Yogic Sleep. In this 35-40 minute guided relaxation in savasana you will be led to the space between being awake and asleep. There you will quiet the mind, release the tension in the physical body, relax the nervous system, and promote balance and peace in all aspects of your life. Yoga Nidra directly influences the physiology of the body and stimulates the healing process.
One hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to three hours of restorative sleep!
Benefits include:
reduced stress
better sleep
higher productivity
reduced anxiety and depression, including PTSD
decreased pain
strengthened immune system
increased level of well-being
lower blood pressure
and more!
If the past few months (or years!) have left you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, burned out, or struggling with your sleep then this class is for you!! It's time to put yourself on the priority list.
I am so excited to share this with you!! This was my signature class when I was living in Los Angeles, and I can't wait to continue sharing it with the Buffalo community. :)
If you have any questions at all, please reach out and message me.
The class can be done seated in a chair or on a yoga mat. This is truly a class for everyone.
Itβs so easy to place our own needs aside, especially when we are busy taking care of others and dealing with the demands of life. Make yourself a priority! Join us to quiet the mind, relax your nervous system, recharge your reserves, and move into balance.

About Beth
Elizabeth Polito is happy to return to Buffalo after living and working in NYC and Los Angeles. She is an alumna of Sacred Heart Academy, was a member of the SJCI music program, and then graduated from UB with a degree in Theatre and Dance. Beth has performed in musicals on Broadway, across the US, and across the globe. Her dance training made Yoga a natural fit, and she fell in love when she first encountered Yoga back in a college acting class. She was amazed at how dramatically her energy state shifted after asana and how quickly Yoga helped to calm her nerves before auditions or performances. The breath had the ability to change everything!
Beth is passionate about empowering and assisting others in personal transformation. She has been teaching Yoga since 2010, and has close to 1000 hours of Yoga training. She is experienced in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, Reconnective Yoga, and Yoga Trance Dance. She is also the current choreographer for the SJCI Swing Choir.
In addition to teaching Yoga, Beth has an active Energy Healing practice, and holds certifications in multiple modalities. She's worked in the fields of self-development, stress-management, higher awareness coaching, and healing since 2004. She works with animals, individuals, and groups, and is especially proud of her work with those in transition, caretakers, as well as those facing terminal diagnosis and end of life concerns. www.elizabethpolito.com
