Santa Fe Scottish Rite | Santa Fe, NM
Join us for an afternoon of sweeping Americana, where bold frontier spirit, dust-laden dreams, and lush romanticism converge in a stirring celebration of resilience, beauty, and the boundless promise of the American landscape.
Experience the bold frontier spirit of John Williams' Cowboys Overture, the evocative migration story of Douglas Davis' Dust Swirls Then Speaks inspired by Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath, and the lush romanticism of Howard Hanson's beloved Symphony No. 2 in a concert celebrating American musical storytelling from the concert hall to the silver screen.
The concert is free of charge and tickets are not required.
The orchestra provides the opportunity for exceptional New Mexican musicians to perform free concerts for a broad range of Santa Fe and northern New Mexico audiences, promotes the composition and performance of works by New Mexico composers, and supports the musical and cultural life of Santa Fe.
