The Fall 2026 Lauren Barwick Three-Day Horsemanship Clinic will be held October 23–25, 2026, at the UW–River Falls Campus Farm Indoor Arena in River Falls, Wisconsin.
We are thrilled to welcome Lauren back to Wisconsin for another weekend of learning, growth, and individualized instruction!
ABOUT LAUREN BARWICK
Lauren Barwick is a five-time Paralympian, Paralympic gold and silver medalist, World Para-Reining Champion, and internationally respected horsewoman and clinician. Drawing on decades of experience in high-performance competition, classical dressage, and relationship-based horsemanship, Lauren helps riders create greater balance, understanding, and communication with their horses.
Through “Bridging the Gap Horsemanship”, Lauren connects foundational horsemanship with refined performance riding. Her teaching considers the complete horse/rider partnership, including physical balance and biomechanics as well as the horse’s mental and emotional needs.
Lauren has an exceptional ability to notice subtle details and translate them into practical adjustments. A small change in the rider’s position, timing, or use of an aid can make a meaningful difference in the horse’s balance, confidence, relaxation, and responsiveness. Depending on the needs of the partnership, instruction may include groundwork, body-awareness activities, mounted exercises, or a combination of approaches.
Lauren works with riders across disciplines and experience levels. Whether you are addressing behavioral challenges, building confidence, improving communication, refining performance, or pursuing upper-level goals, she meets each horse/rider partnership where it is.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that Lauren’s clinics are only for advanced riders. Her horse-first approach is equally valuable for riders who are just beginning, returning to riding, seeking a more relaxed recreational partnership, or working toward competitive goals. Before working with Lauren, I did not fully appreciate how profoundly horse and human biomechanics influence both performance AND partnership!
Lauren creates a welcoming and supportive learning environment where riders at different stages can learn alongside one another. Her goal is to help each participant build a thoughtful foundation that supports the horse’s well-being, long-term soundness, and success, whether the destination is the trail or the centerline.

• $675 rider fee for all three days
• $300 deposit required
• Bring your own horse
• Work in hand, under saddle, or both
AUDITORS ARE WELCOME
The audit and rider experience includes a classroom portion featuring lecture, discussion, and opportunities for questions and answers, along with observation of live instruction involving a variety of horse-and-rider partnerships. Bleacher seating is available in the indoor arena.
Auditor registration is required for entry. Advance registration is encouraged, although auditors may also register on the day of the clinic.

STALLS
Overnight 12-by-12 indoor stalls are available for $30 per day. The stalls have automatic waterers and are conveniently attached to the indoor arena.
