We are still here! Come and celebrate with the Orange County Sierrans Section (formerly Orange County Sierra Singles) and the Orange County Group. Come and reunion with your friends from hiking, skiing, biking, camping, dancing, backpacking, snow camping, hundreds of bus trips, lots of parties and even multi destination adventure trips.
Why Turtle Rock Community Park? OCSS led Tuesday-Thursday night hikes here for 40 years. So why not?
We will have a few awards for long time leaders and a special thank you for a special guest. Another special feature will be 50 years of bound Orange Peals courtesy of Virgil Talbott, Steve Botan and Donna Specht. Those were the days. We did all that? We will have some nostalgic gifts of logo bandanas, a Remembrance table ok to bring copies of a special friend or event, OCSS patches and some extra Orange Peals for you to rummage through and keep. We will have music, bring your instruments and join in with Joe Bouchard. Joel Kenyon will be at the BBQ. Please bring potluck item to share. Bring your own compfy chair, games, your own personal cooler, potluck item to share, preferred drinks. The Sierra Club way is to bring your own eating utensils and water. Free Parking.
We will offer pre picnic hikes (posted as a separate event) and you can always check out the Turtle Rock Nature Center on site.
Event is free.
RSVP Required, so we know how many burgers to purchase.
$20 Day of Walk in Fee.
