Founded by charities for charities, the Oceans 8 Charity Swim is South Africa’s first warm-water ocean challenge of its kind.
Held at Vetch’s Beach, Durban, this two-day event offers four distances - 1, 4, 8, and 16 miles - catering to swimmers of all levels in mild, reliable, and flat ocean conditions.
The event aims to provide a reliable and sustainable flow of funding to 14 deserving non-profit organisations with a footprint in KwaZulu-Natal. These funds support essential work in education, environmental protection, community development, and upliftment for those most in need.
Driven by a passion for swimming and sustainability, the Oceans 8 Charity Swim brings together participants to use their sport to make a lasting impact.
