Get ready to look to the skies! Join your FMWR community on Saturday, September 19, 2026, as we head down to Virginia Beach for the spectacular NAS Oceana Air Show.
This year's historic theme, "Celebrating 250 Years of America," features jaw-dropping aerial performances, including the world-famous US Navy Blue Angels and a powerhouse demonstration by the F-22 Raptor.
Forget the headache of navigating holiday-weekend traffic, highway tolls, and base parking. We’ve got your transportation covered! Sit back, relax in our comfortable ride, and get ready for a thrilling, patriotic day of aviation history.
The Game Plan (Detailed Schedule)
9:30 AM- Depart Installation Board our comfortable ride and enjoy the scenic ~2-hour drive down I-64 East to Virginia Beach.
11:30 AM- Arrive at NAS Oceana We'll arrive at the base, head through parking, and make our way through the security screening.
12:15 PM- Enter the Show Grounds Step onto the flight line! Explore incredible static aircraft displays, grab some food vendor lunch, and find your seats.
12:15 PM – 5:00 PM- The Air Show! Enjoy spectacular aerial acts, historical flybys, and the thrilling grand finale featuring the Blue Angels.
5:00 PM- Depart Virginia Beach Load back up into our vehicle for a relaxing, stress-free ride home.
7:00 PM- Arrive at InstallationArrive back safely. Tour concludes!
CRITICAL Security Information (Base Access)
Because NAS Oceana is an active military installation, strict security measures are in place. Please ensure you meet the following requirements to attend:
- U.S. Citizens (Ages 18+): Must bring and present a valid, physical photo ID (Driver's License, State ID, or Military ID) to access the base. Digital/phone copies are not accepted.
- Foreign National Guests: Must bring and present a valid, physical Passport.
- Under Age 18: Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
What is Included in Your Ticket?
- 🚍 Round-Trip Transportation: Relax and leave the driving, tolls, and base parking hassle to us.
- 🎟️ Admission to the Air Show: Free general admission to the flight line and static displays is included.
- 🗺️ FMWR Group Coordination: A smooth, organized experience from start to finish.
What to Bring & Wear (Pro-Tips)
- 🎧 Hearing Protection: Jet engines are incredibly loud! We highly recommend bringing earplugs or earmuffs, especially for children.
- ☀️ Sun Protection: The flight line is wide open concrete with zero shade. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat.
- 👟 Comfortable Walking Shoes: You will be walking on concrete flight lines to view the static displays.
- 🧴 Hydration: Small, empty plastic water bottles are allowed and can be filled at free water stations on base.
