Participants will learn from expert ceramists how to craft beautiful, eco friendly clay tokens inspired by the sea and can make extras if they desire—perfect for our educational treasure hunts that promote sustainability. Each youth and parent participant will take home one ceramic token and one ceramic medallion and a turtle friendly flashlight, making this experience both memorable and meaningful.
But that's not all! Enjoy an exclusive tour of the NBSTCC to explore local wildlife and discover how we can all help protect our beloved sea turtles - and meet Sweet Pea, our Ambassador-in-Residence, swimming around in her 15,000-gallon heated saltwater pool, just waiting to meet you!
This engaging series will have nine monthly workshops, with sessions designed for up to 24 students/chaperones each. Smaller, inclusive sessions for special-needs children and their families will be available soon, and those classes will be offered for free. In addition, we are planning a class for Snowbirds and Homeschoolers. So don’t worry we will have additional classes for you to choose from soon.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic chance to combine art, conservation, and community! Sign up today and be part of this inspiring journey to protect our oceans and celebrate local artistry.
Please dress in clothing which won't get damaged by the clay paints. In the event of inclement weather, registration fees will be refunded.
