About the film
This is David Attenborough’s greatest message of hope - revealing 100 years of incredible ocean discovery and why there’s nowhere more important for all life on Earth than the ocean.
Co-produced by Silverback Films and Open Planet Studios, Ocean with David Attenborough showcases the wonder of life under the seas and exposes the realities and challenges facing our ocean as never-before-seen, from destructive fishing techniques to mass coral reef bleaching.
Yet the story is one of optimism, with Attenborough pointing to inspirational stories from around the world to show that the ocean can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.
About the Solent Seascape Project
The Solent Seascape Project is a pioneering partnership working to restore and reconnect marine habitats across the Solent.
Bringing together organisations including the University of Portsmouth, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, Blue Marine Foundation and other regional partners, the project is helping to revive seagrass meadows, oyster reefs, saltmarshes, and coastal bird habitats.
By working with local communities, businesses and stakeholders, the project aims to create healthier seas, support wildlife recovery and strengthen the region's resilience to climate change.
