Step out of the cold and into the warmth of Zoie Café for an afternoon of smooth, easy-listening jazz with the Freddie Grigson/Kristian Borring Duo.
Two of Australia’s leading jazz guitarists come together for a special afternoon of lyrical originals, jazz standards and masterful improvisation.
Fred Grigson and Kristian Borring are highly respected figures in the Australian jazz community and abroad, each renowned for their exceptional musicianship. Grigson, Head of Guitar at WAAPA, is widely regarded as one of WA’s finest jazz guitarists. Borring, praised for his sense of tasteful melody and colourful harmony, has built an international reputation as an outstanding and virtuosic guitarist and improviser, performing on the London scene and in clubs and festivals around Europe and Australia.
Together, the duo explores engaging and expressive repertoire filled with melodic interplay and unexpected musical turns.
